Job summary

Ziegler Ag Equipment is seeking an Ag Technician at our Mankato, MN location to diagnose and repair the full line of agricultural equipment from planting to harvest. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, timely repairs, and a strong sense of urgency in a busy shop environment.

Starting pay ranges from $27.00 to $45.00 per hour, with full-time benefits including health/dental/vision, PTO, holidays, 401(k), HSA, disability coverage, parental leave, and more.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college in diesel technology or HS diploma with 2 years shop experience.
• 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair preferred.
• Experience repairing a variety of agricultural equipment.
• Ability to document work orders and communicate with supervisors.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Commitment to a safe and clean work environment.

Ziegler Ag Equipment has an Ag Technician position working on the full line of ag equipment from planting to the harvest. We are looking for a dedicated ag mechanic with excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic skills and a sense of urgency at our Mankato branch. Hours: M-F, 7:30-4:00.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 to $45.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment
• Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards
• Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience
• 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems
• Own mechanic tool set
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• This role is deemed safety sensitive and requires the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
