Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Diesel Technician in California to service customers and perform maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and parts removal. You will install components with manuals, report on work, disassemble and recondition parts.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions by listening to the vehicle, performing repairs on trucks, engines, and components, and replacing parts as needed. The role emphasizes safety, customer relations, and ongoing training to stay current with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Valid driver license; CDL and Medical card are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install major engine components and drivetrain parts.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures based on operation observations.
• Inspect safety devices and tighten loose bolts as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify conformance to specifications.
• Tag warranty parts and participate in training to stay updated with bulletins.
• Build positive relationships with customers to improve satisfaction.
