Job summary

Dohrn Transfer Company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the Omaha, NE terminal. As a part of a leading Midwest LTL Carrier, you will ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of our fleet vehicles. Attractive pay rates of up to $41.80/hour for qualified mechanics and a host of health benefits are offered.

The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of automotive repair methods, have valid licensing, and demonstrate strong communication skills while working as part of a dedicated team. Come help us drive our success!

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum age of 18.
• Valid Driver License is required.
• Experience as a journey-level diesel mechanic is preferred.
• CDL and ASE certifications are preferred.
• Must pass a NON-DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects.
• Perform general overhaul and preventive maintenance.
• Repair, replace and adjust necessary units and parts.
• Maintain detailed and routine record keeping.

Skills

Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in repairs

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Manual dexterity

Knowledge of gas and diesel engines

Experience as a journey-level diesel mechanic

Ability to work in a team

Education

High School completion or equivalent
