Job summary

Airoldi Brothers, Inc. is hiring a full-time diesel technician for our Green Bay, WI shop to inspect, diagnose and repair heavy-duty truck systems on 2nd shift. In-person work with focus on engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems.

You will perform maintenance, install components, and document work orders for warranty and service records. We value reliability, willingness to learn and effective communication as core traits, with on-site collaboration, OEM training opportunities

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Strong diagnostic aptitude and communication skills.
  • CDL license or ability to obtain one; valid driver's license.
  • Owning hand tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
  • Overhaul and repair heavy-duty engines, clutches, transmissions and related systems.
  • Install engines, transmissions and other components as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and document results per manufacturers' specs.
  • Submit complete technical reports and documentation as required.
  • Operate equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.
  • Repair non-engine vehicle components and troubleshoot systems.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems
  • Overhaul and repair heavy-duty engines, clutches, transmissions, differentials, power systems, cooling systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, or other systems used on medium and heavy-duty trucks
  • Install engines, transmissions, and other components
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Submit complete technical reports and documentation as required by manufacturers for all components on all makes of trucks and trailers
  • Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction
  • Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts
  • Rewire electrical or electronic systems
  • Align equipment or machinery
  • Repair non-engine automotive or vehicle components
  • Install vehicle parts or accessories
  • Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems
  • Comply with safety and EPA regulations as well as internal controls
  • Complete all work orders in a timely manner, ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate work order line and comments are entered; understand reason and task codes and sign and check parts order form
  • Tag all warranty parts with appropriate information
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
