Job summary

Tuckahoe Holdings, LLC is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our service team. The role involves diagnosing and repairing major systems on compact equipment, performing rebuilds, welding, and maintaining strong customer relations.

This is a full-time on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive benefits. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in heavy equipment service, with a solid mechanical background in diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in heavy equipment service operations such as skid steers and excavators.
• Strong mechanical background including diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple projects and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair major systems on compact equipment with emphasis on Bobcat line.
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls; weld as needed.
• Coordinate with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental teams; perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Our Diesel Technicians play a key role in our customer relations and service representation. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping our customers with a can-do attitude exceeding our customer’s expectations.

Diesel Technician

$30.00 & Up DOE

Monday-Friday (7am-4pm)

Essential Functions:

• Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections

• Diagnosing and repairing all major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on the Bobcat line

• Performing system rebuilds and overhauls

• Welding

• Work effectively with all levels of the company – Parts, Service, Sales, Rental

• Performing any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in heavy and or equipment service operations– skid steers, excavators, etc….

• Strong mechanical background including excellent skills in diagnostics, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical.

• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects, computer skills.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions as this position works indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to effectively communicate with customers

• This position is continually active, requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, laying, crawling, and climbing all day.

• Employee but frequently lift and/or move items over 50lbs

• Many movements required to perform this job require a degree of strain on muscles, joints, and tendons in both your arms, chest, shoulders and back.

• Specific vision requirements required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
