Job summary

Viking Equipment Company of Knoxville, LLC is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. This full-time role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing Bobcat equipment, with a focus on maintaining customer relations and service excellence.

We offer a 35.00 USD hourly rate, a Monday–Friday schedule (7am–4pm), and benefits including health/dental/vision and a 401K with company match. Experience with heavy machinery and hydraulics is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in heavy and/or equipment service operations.
• Strong mechanical background with diagnostics, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair major systems on Bobcat line equipment.
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls as needed.
• Weld as required and collaborate with parts, service, sales, and rental teams.
• Take direction from Supervisor and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Diesel Technician / Mechanic - Join the leader in the compact construction equipment industry. Bobcat of is well respected in our area, and we are currently searching for a Diesel Technician to join our team. Our Diesel Technician play a key role in our customer relations and service representation. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping our customers with a can-do attitude exceeding our customer's expectations.

Monday-Friday (7am-4pm)

Essential Functions

• Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing all major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on the Bobcat line
• Performing system rebuilds and overhauls
• Welding
• Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts, Service, Sales, Rental
• Performing any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in heavy and or equipment service operations – skid steers, excavators, etc ....

Strong mechanical background including excellent skills in diagnostics , diesel mechanics, hydraulics , electrical .

Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects , computer skills .

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions as this position works indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work envi ronment can be loud.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to effectively communicate with customers
• This position is continually active , requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, laying, crawling, and climbing all day .
• Employee but frequently lift and/or move items over 50lbs
• Many movements required to perform this job require a degree of strain on muscles, joints, and tendons in both your arms, chest, shoulders and back.
• Specific vision requirements required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
