Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Georgia. The role focuses on timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles, with emphasis on diesel engine diagnosis and repair. Expect weekly pay at $35–$42 per hour, DOE, and a 9:00am–5:30pm, Tue–Sat shift.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience or a diesel tech diploma and must provide own hand tools. Strong computer and tooling skills, plus DOT knowledge, are valued.

• At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
• Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and diagnosing vehicles.
• Proficient computer skills: Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to medium to heavy duty vehicles
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
• Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
• Perform other duties as required

Position Summary

merit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic! The Diesel Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Diesel Technician/Mechanic position requires high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to heavy duty Diesel Engine diagnosis and repair. Comprehension of Fleet Maintenance operations, understanding of electrical, preventative maintenance and DOT inspection experience and knowledge.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $35-$42per hour, DOE!

SHIFT: Tuesday - Saturday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

What the Diesel Technician/Mechanic role looks like:

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
