Job summary

Rochester Chevrolet Cadillac is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Rochester, MN. You will perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, test systems, and work closely with the Service Advisor to communicate needs and timelines.

The ideal candidate has an automotive background, is able to work with diagnostic tools, and can operate in a fast-paced, precision-driven shop environment.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background required.
• Strong teamwork skills are essential.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
• Must have clean & valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional service and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
