Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring Diesel Technicians to diagnose and repair light mechanical systems while delivering friendly customer service to drivers. You will engage with customers and drivers, perform preventive maintenance, and handle equipment safely in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires lifting 75+ pounds, working in varying temperatures, and rotating day/night shifts. DOT medical card may be obtained with Love’s assistance; comprehensive benefits and immediate employment are

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot light mechanical issues and electrical systems.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and rotate day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end, electrical, suspensions, A/C, engine components).
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.
• Uphold safety policies and procedures for customers and coworkers.
• Work a rotating day/night schedule as needed.
• Potential to obtain a medical card through DOT (Love’s pays).

Diesel Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
