Job Overview:
CDJR of The Mon Valley is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our growing team! Sign-On Bonus:
We offer a potential sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for experienced technicians!

  • $1,000 paid upon completion of 30 days of employment.

  • $1,000 paid after successful completion of your 90-day probationary period

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy according to dealership and manufacturer standards.

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair various diesel engine systems, including fuel injection, emissions, cooling, transmission, electrical, and more.

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic procedures using advanced diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality and identify any additional issues.

  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of additional services needed and provide time estimates for extra repairs.

  • Perform complex repairs involving diesel engine components, electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest diesel technology and repair techniques.

  • Accurately document all repairs and maintenance performed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of Diesel Technician experience preferred.

  • Skills: A-level qualifications, including advanced diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

  • Diagnostic Equipment: Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools.

  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.

  • License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency and the ability to use dealership software.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Willingness to pursue continuing education to stay current with industry advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram (CDJR) diesel vehicles.

  • Diesel Engine Certification (preferred).

  • Knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards and procedures.

  • Familiarity with DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) and emissions systems.
