Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Diesel Technician in North Smithfield, RI to advance maintenance skills, conduct annual inspections, and complete repairs on tractors and trailers. You will perform PMs, tire changes, brake adjustments, and minor electrical work with direct communication of status updates to internal customers.

The position is full-time, first shift, with a schedule including Mondays to Wednesdays and every other weekend, starting wages between $26.20 and $32.70 per hour based on

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or a minimum of one year of diesel technician experience.
• Computer systems experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
