We are immediately hiring a permanent, full-time, experienced mid-level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet at Ryder in Norcross, Georgia.

• Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 per quarter, four times a year
• Sign-On Bonus: $1250 at 30 days and $1250 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours: First shift, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Required: basic tools
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake, and tire work
• At least 2 years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A license preferred

Note: This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. You must:

• Obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform repairs
• Replace defective components
• Assist with facility maintenance
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
• Use shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines
• Support operational duties as needed
