Job summary

Bobcat of Kentucky is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join the team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Bobcat equipment, with an emphasis on the diesel systems and hydraulics.

The technician will work in a fast-paced environment and support various departments including Parts, Service, and Sales. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ($22.00-$36.00) with an efficiency bonus, a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri 7am-4pm), and benefits such as health, dental,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy equipment service operations.
• Strong mechanical background including diagnostics, diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and able to stay cool under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair major systems on compact equipment, especially Bobcat line.
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls.
• Welding.
• Coordinate with Parts, Service, Sales, Rental teams.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing all major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on the Bobcat line
• Performing system rebuilds and overhauls
• Welding
• Work effectively with all levels of the company – Parts, Service, Sales, Rental
• Performing any additionaltasks assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience inheavyand orequipment service operations–skid steers,excavators,etc….
• Strong mechanical background including excellent skills indiagnostics,diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects,computer skills.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequentlyexposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanicalpartsand vibration.The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions as this position works indoors and outdoors.The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

• Be able to effectively communicate with customers
• This position iscontinually active, requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching,laying,crawling,and climbing all day.
