Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $33.28 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
- Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
- Hours: Second Shift Tuesday - Thursday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, Friday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification, Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Basic tools, required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
- Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
- Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- All other certification as required by location, required
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs on heavy and medium duty equipment
- Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:
- Standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
- Conduct detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
- Replace defective components
- Work independently on most tasks
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to identify issues
- Use Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
- Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Access and utilize maintenance documents
- Support operations as needed
- Complete OEM diagnostic courses as required
