Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty commercial vehicles with accuracy and efficiency. You will perform quality preventive maintenance, document work, and communicate with the parts department and service advisor to ensure smooth operations.

We value hands-on experience with Mack, Volvo or Isuzu engines, ASE certification or technical school training, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with commercial vehicle repair; prefer at least 12 months' experience
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record, CDL preferred
• Customer-focused mindset
• Computer experience necessary to perform diagnostics and research
• Experience working on Mack, Volvo or Isuzu engines
• ASE Certified or Technical School training

Responsibilities

• Accurate diagnosis and essential repair of heavy-duty commercial vehicles
• Quality and cost-effective preventive maintenance
• Effective communication with the parts department and the service advisor
• Safe movement of trucks/equipment to/from shop and yard area
• Reporting machinery defects and malfunctions
