J.J. Nichting seeks a proven Diesel Technician to service agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, sprayers, and irrigation engines. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to keep farmers moving when it matters most.

This role requires hands-on experience, the ability to read schematics, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. CDL is a plus, with competitive pay and strong benefits supporting work–life balance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel experience or diesel degree plus field experience.
• Technical training in diesel technology or heavy equipment repair.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and service information.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines on agricultural equipment.
• Work on tractors, combines, harvesters, sprayers, loaders, and irrigation engines.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime during peak seasons.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and drivetrain systems.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Technical training in diesel technology, agricultural mechanics or heavy equipment repair
• Confident working independently and solving problems in the shop and field
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and service information
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
