Job summary

W.W. Williams in Ohio is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to accurately troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose routine maintenance and emergency services for diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.

You will work with a team to ensure all scheduled work is performed safely and to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel repair experience, strong knowledge of multiple systems, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork on work orders and for state/emission inspections in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Adhere to all Company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspect vital parts to ensure proper operating conditions.
  • Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.
