Job summary

W.W. Williams in Michigan is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose routine maintenance and emergency services for heavy‑duty trucks. You will work with other technicians to ensure all work is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

The role emphasizes accurate repairs, proper paperwork, and strict adherence to safety standards. A minimum of 3+ years in diesel repair within a heavy truck fleet environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop.
• Strong knowledge of multiple systems (A/C, brakes, emission, air); diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
• Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
• Inspecting vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.
