Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group, is seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic in Georgia. The role involves heavy-duty truck repairs under supervision with on-the-job training to achieve service technician status.

The position requires hands-on repair experience or vocational training, CDL preferred, and certifications in A/C, brake systems, and DOT annual inspections.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred and hands-on repair experience required.
• Must have A/C and Brake knowledge and DOT annual inspector certification.
• Owns the necessary tools to perform responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience in motor overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and tune-ups.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. The Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic performs heavy-duty truck repair under general supervision, receiving on the job training in a development program to achieve service technician status.

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience in motor overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, motor tune-up, and general maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
