DIESEL MECHANIC / DIESEL MECHANIC TRAINEE

Multiple Positions Available – Placement Based on Experience and Skill Level

Location: Dyersville, IA Area - Pay: $15.00–$40.00 per hour

Position Summary

Join a collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery. Opportunities are available for both experienced Diesel Mechanics and individuals seeking to grow their skills as a Diesel Mechanic Trainee.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, and routine service on equipment, vehicles, ready-mix trucks, semi-trucks, and gantry cranes.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete monthly inspections on company equipment.
• Document maintenance requests, inspections, and repairs using a mobile maintenance application.
• Create purchase orders for maintenance inventory and replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with additional maintenance and repair projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years of diesel mechanic training or equivalent experience preferred for Mechanic positions.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing assignments.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must provide a basic set of personal mechanic tools (specialty tools provided by employer).
• CDL preferred but not required.
