Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician in Dayville, CT to provide servicing and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles. The role includes working first shift, Monday–Friday, with weekends off and a 7:00 am–3:30 pm schedule. Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician in Dayville, CT - providing a stable company for your career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.

We provide the best State-of-the-Art Diagnostics and Tools to all Ryder Maintenance Repair Mechanics who work on Heavy Duty Vehicles.

• Technician In Charge Positions Pay Each Week
• Hourly Pay:$44.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $2500 at 30 days and $2500 at 90 days
• Schedule: Monday-Friday Weekends OFF
• Hours: First Shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
• Basic tools, required
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
  • Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs to include some major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs, required
• Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
• All other certification as required by location, required

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform all T3 tasks
• Must have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
