Job summary

Vaco in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Diesel Technician for a direct hire. The role covers company truck and trailer maintenance and preventative work, with a Monday–Friday 2PM–10PM shift.

Candidates should have diesel engine diagnostics expertise, knowledge of major engine components, and the ability to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks/trailers end-to-end, with CDL required and ASE certifications preferred.

Shift Monday - Friday 2PM-10PM

Purpose of role:

Company Truck and Trailer Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance

Overview:

Complete knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and diagnostic tools. all major engine manufacture's component overhaul and repair; electrical and electronic systems diagnostics and diagnostic tools; brakes and braking systems; transmissions and drivelines; hydraulics and power lift systems; has the ability to diagnose and repair all classes of heavy‑duty trucks/trailers bumper to bumper without supervision.

Required Skills/Certifications:

• Required technician tool set.
• Class A/b or C CDL license required.
• Nice to have - All (7) ASE master technician certifications. (T-2 through T-8)
• T1 - Gasoline Engines
• T2 - Diesel Engines
• T3 - Drive Train
• T4 - Brakes
• T5 - Suspension & Steering
• T6 - Electrical/ Electronic Systems
• T7 - Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
• T8 - Preventive Maintenance Inspection

• Heavy Lifting required (Minimum 45 Lbs.)
