Job summary

Hogan Transportation, a 100‑year‑old, full‑service transportation company, seeks an experienced maintenance technician to diagnose and repair tractors and trucks across North America.

You will perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repair tasks using hand, air, and power tools, with welding and oxy‑acetylene cutting as needed. Strong teamwork and safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• In-depth knowledge of hand, air and power tools.
• Basic welding and oxy-acetylene cutting knowledge.
• Overall knowledge of complete truck/trailer repair.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Clean MVR.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented work approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair tractors and trucks using established procedures and tools.
• Repair or replace components across braking, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Identify parts/systems for repair and replace as needed.
• Road test vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Operate hydraulic jacks and support equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

Hogan Transportation is a 100 year old full service multi faceted transportation company operating throughout North America with a tradition of unparalleled personalized service to clients utilizing first class equipment and advanced technology. Provides required maintenance including diagnosis and repair for Hogan tractor and truck equipment, including the removal replacement and repair of any and all components of the tractor or truck.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides preventive maintenance and DOT Inspection using the correct procedures and guidelines.
• Diagnoses and repairs tractors and trucks using well established policies and procedures as well as hand and power tools.
• This includes but is not limited to various types of braking systems, hydraulic, air disc, electrical systems, clutches, air conditioning and heating systems, and instruments and gauges, steering mechanisms, wheels, tires and batteries.
• Identifies parts and/or systems for repair; repairs or replaces as appropriate.
• Removes broken parts and replaces with new or reconditioned parts.
• Road tests vehicles to diagnose issues and ensure a safe operating vehicle.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to raise equipment.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• In depth knowledge of all hand, air and power tools required for this industry.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of welding and OxyAcetylene cutting procedures.
• Overall complete knowledge with comprehensive trucktrailer repair.
• Extensive diagnostic and repair knowledge.
• Clean MVR.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
