Sun Valley Fleet Service in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a diesel mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair trucks, tractors, and trailers. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform brake, clutch, and air conditioning work as needed.

Ideal candidates have general knowledge of truck/trailer repair, own tools, and a willingness to take diverse assignments. Night and weekend availability is required, and a strong work ethic is essential.

• Experience in diesel truck/trailer repair and operations.
• Must provide own tools.
• Willing and able to work nights and weekends.

Job Description

This position performs inspections, preventative maintenance, repair, to any part(s) of a diesel powered truck, tractor or trailer. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze mechanical, electrical problem or other type whether single or combined tractor-trailer unit. Perform repairs such as; Brakes, Clutches, Air Conditioning and other mechanical components.

• General knowledge and experience in truck / trailer repair and operations.
• Must have own tools.
• Willingness to accept all types of job assignments.
• Willing and able to work nights and weekends
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Good past employment history.
• Self motivated and ambitious.
• Be capable to work independently and be held accountable.
• Excellent work ethic and good attitude.
• Clean MVR (insurable)
• CDL (commercial drivers license) a plus!
• Welding a plus!
