Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Albuquerque, NM is hiring Diesel Technicians to keep our fast-paced service bays running and drivers on the road. You will troubleshoot and repair light mechanical systems, assist with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

We value flexibility and can involve a rotating day/night schedule. This role may include lifting heavy parts and working in varying temperatures, with Love’s supporting DOT medical

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures
• Follow safety policies to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
• Work a rotating day/night schedule
• Obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s)

Diesel Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
