Job summary

Green Ford in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Diesel Apprentice Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate should have a strong desire to learn, basic understanding of diesel engines, and general mechanics, with a path to a rewarding automotive service career.

This apprentice program emphasizes Ford brand training, hands-on experience, and growth opportunities. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record; 60–80K DOE compensation is available for a motivated

Responsibilities

• Perform work as taught / specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership training
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose as taught, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications as taught
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a positive, friendly attitude.
• Maintain a "Team Player" attitude
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
