Job Overview:

Manage a Schneider company shop as a Diesel Shop Manager in Baltimore, MD. Focus on increasing customer satisfaction, reducing repair costs, and improving equipment availability. Implement long- and short-term goals and action plans while providing excellent leadership to shop associates.

Responsibilities:

• Reinforce and demonstrate Cowan’s core values as a shop leader.
• Be responsible for maintenance costs, equipment availability, and repair decisions within the shop.
• Maintain appropriate parts inventory.
• Assign work to shop associates and communicate effectively with them.
• Conduct live work order audits and performance evaluations of shop associates.
• Set performance goals for the shop and individual team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical degree in diesel technology or a related field.
• Two to four years of diesel technician experience.
• Previous shop leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work at least one weekend day per month.
• Strong leadership skills to foster a high-performance environment.
