Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company, based in the Pasco, Washington area, is seeking a Service Technician to perform high-quality repairs on customer equipment and advise on further services as needed. This full-time role is located at Pasco, WA and requires hands-on experience with medium/heavy trucks.

The position emphasizes accurate workmanship, safety, and ongoing training, with responsibilities including handling repair orders, documenting work, and communicating recommendations to the Shop Foreman.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• Outstanding mechanical aptitude and skills necessary to produce top results.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Personal motivation and self-reliance.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair order assignments from Shop Foreman.
• Follows instructions and executes work assignments in repair order thoroughly and efficiently.
• Maintains superior standard of workmanship in all services performed.
• Advises Shop Foreman of any recommended changes in services ordered by the customer.
• Determines if any further repairs or servicing should be recommended to the customer, and communicates such recommendations to the Shop Foreman.
• Maintains a level of training and experience with specialized equipment, machinery, and servicing techniques necessary for superior servicing of the customer’s equipment.
• Attends training sessions as required by the Service Manager.
• Performs additional repairs as required when any piece of equipment is returned by the customer because of the Technician’s faulty workmanship.
• Maintains accurate work order records of work performed and time clocked on jobs.
