Job summary

Bedford Jeep is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles in a fast-paced shop environment. You will diagnose complex systems, estimate labor, and clearly explain issues to customers.

The role demands ongoing learning of diesel tech and a focus on high quality service. Ideal candidates have factory diesel certification or willingness to pursue, and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Experience performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on various vehicle makes.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and customer satisfaction targets.
• Outstanding communication and professional appearance.
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles per orders and factory standards.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, transmission, steering, suspension, and AC systems.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional requested repairs.
• Explain diagnoses in non-technical terms to customers and service advisors
• Stay current with new diesel technologies through formal training.
• Inspect and test vehicles and document findings to guide repairs.
