Job summary

JX Enterprises is seeking a Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic in Rockford, IL. This full-time role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks to keep customers on the road.

The position requires a strong work ethic and a team-first attitude in a fast-paced shop environment. The job offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00am–3:30pm) with a wage supplement during mobile service visits, and a competitive compensation package designed to support your health and future.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• For entry level, some experience in automotive repair or heavy-duty truck maintenance is required.
• For an experienced level, diesel-focused training and 2+ years in maintenance and repair of commercial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Inspects vehicles and runs diagnostics to determine maintenance needs.
• Tests engine, safety, and combustion control standards to meet regulations.
• Repairs major assemblies and components as needed.
• Evaluates service and parts options to control costs.
• Maintains vehicle records with complete service documentation.
• Adheres to safety protocols and keeps updated on regulations.
• Collaborates with team to ensure positive customer experiences.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
