Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician, Apprentice to join our team in Springfield, MO. This role performs apprenticeship-level servicing with periodic supervision, supports diagnostic and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty trucks, and adheres to safety rules and company policies.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $35 per hour based on skill and experience. We offer PTO, holidays, medical/dental/life, 401(k), a bi-weekly pay schedule and opportunities for

Qualifications

• A college degree or trade school certificate preferred, not required.
• Experience in a related field is preferred, not required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Motor Vehicle Record adheres to MVR guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/mechanical repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components; tests repairs for proper completion.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Communicate parts availability to Service Foreman.
• Download and save all engine files and diagnostic data to Paccar Solutions/Decisiv.
• Document trouble shooting steps and repair results in detail.
• Store warrantable parts correctly and label boxes with order, serial, customer, and date.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and return tools after use.
• Inform the next shift's technicians of special instructions or concerns.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set by Service Manager.
• Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
• Obtain and retain a Class A CDL during employment.
• Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.
