Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Service Technician on the 2nd shift (3:30 PM – Midnight) to perform high‑quality repairs on customer equipment and advise on additional services as determined by the technician.

The role requires 2–3 years of medium/heavy truck experience, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong mechanical aptitude, organizational and communication skills. A comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• Outstanding mechanical aptitude and skills necessary to produce top results.
• Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Personal motivation and self‑reliance.
• Manual dexterity and safety with tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information.

Responsibilities

• Receives repair orders from Shop Foreman.
• Follows instructions and executes work assignments in repair orders thoroughly and efficiently.
• Maintains a high standard of workmanship across all services.
• Advises Shop Foreman of changes in services requested by customers.
• Determines if further repairs should be recommended and communicates this to the Shop Foreman.
• Maintains training and experience with equipment, machinery, and servicing techniques.
• Attends training sessions as required by the Service Manager.
• Puts in additional repairs when equipment is returned due to faulty workmanship.
• Maintains accurate work order records and time clocked on jobs.
