Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group. Our Springfield, MO location has an opening for a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic to perform light maintenance under close supervision as the first stage of training for Service Technician status.

You will perform maintenance tasks, assist in heavy-duty truck repair, attend training sessions, keep a tidy workspace, and follow supervisor directions. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• Performs maintenance type work under supervision.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance type work (i.e. preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, etc.) under supervision.
• Assists Service Technician in heavy-duty truck repair.
• Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
