Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required and clean driving record.
  • Experience in electronic diesel engine maintenance with major engines.
  • CDL-class A eligibility preferred and valid Indiana license.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic shop tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead mechanic to complete scheduled bus maintenance.
  • Record parts usage and maintain inventory logs.
  • Perform inspections per Indiana guidelines for student transport vehicles.
  • Repair brakes, transmissions, electrical, cooling, and carburetion systems.
  • Document work orders and support GPS/tracking equipment
  • Maintain positive relations with drivers and staff.
