Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Master Level Reefer Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Fenton, Missouri.

• Hourly Pay: $39.30 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter

• Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
• Routine maintenance (oil changes, brake, tire work)
• Diagnostics and repairs (AC, electrical systems)
• Major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, fuel injection repairs
• Four or more years of relevant experience preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• Other certifications as required by location

Additional requirements:

• Ability to perform all T3 tasks
• Advanced analytical and repair skills
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability for shift work, weekends, and on-call
• Prefer ASE certifications in PM, brakes, A/C, electrical, electronics, or Master mechanic
• Proficiency with shop computers and diagnostic equipment
• Minimum tool requirements
• Ability to road test vehicles
• Ability to coach and mentor others

• Note: Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles, obtain CDL within 6 months, and pass Ryder's drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete OEM online diagnostic courses within 365 days
• Perform vehicle maintenance, preventive, and complex repairs
• Use diagnostics and repair tools effectively
• Assist roadside breakdowns via remote triage
• Perform facility maintenance
• Interact with customers/drivers
• Mentor and advise other technicians
• Utilize shop management and documentation systems
• Comply with safety and regulatory guidelines
