  • Automotive Core Processing:
    • Inspect, sort, and process automotive cores (e.g., fuel injectors, turbochargers, pumps) returned by customers, verifying condition and eligibility for refurbishment or recycling.
    • Disassemble cores as needed, separating reusable components from non-reusable parts per DAP’s quality standards.
    • Document core conditions and quantities in inventory software, ensuring accurate tracking for core return programs.
  • Cleaning and Assembling Parts:
    • Clean automotive parts using appropriate tools and cleaning solutions (e.g., ultrasonic cleaners, solvents) to remove contaminants, grease, or debris, adhering to safety protocols.
    • Assemble components for diesel auto parts, following technical specifications and quality control guidelines to ensure functionality and reliability.
    • Perform visual and functional inspections of cleaned and assembled parts to confirm they meet DAP’s performance standards.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Enter inventory data, including core processing and part assembly records, into inventory software.
    • Accurately track incoming products and store in proper locations.
    • Identify and quarantine nonconforming parts (e.g., damaged, incorrect).
  • Sorting and Organizing:
    • Maintain a 5S-organized workspace (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure efficiency and safety in both warehouse and production areas.
  • Safety:
    • Wear protective gear (eyewear, gloves, aprons) when handling parts, cores, or cleaning solutions, per DAP’s Safety Policy, to prevent injury from sharp edges or hazardous materials.
    • Use proper lifting techniques for items up to 50 lbs, reporting any injuries to the team leader immediately for Worker’s Compensation processing.
    • Keep the warehouse and production areas free of clutter to avoid safety hazards, aligning with 5S principles.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Exceptional attention to detail for accurate packaging, core processing, part cleaning, assembly, inventory entry, and sorting.

    • Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping software.
    • Strong organizational skills to maintain a 5S-compliant warehouse and production workspace.
  • Preferred (Bonus):
    • Knowledge of diesel auto parts (e.g., fuel injectors, pumps, turbos) and core processing procedures.
    • Experience in warehouse operations, shipping, inventory management, or automotive part assembly.
