Springfield ReManufacturing Corp is seeking an experienced diesel product specialist to apply hands-on engine knowledge to product development, testing, and OEM support. The role includes reverse engineering, documentation, and shop-floor technical support.

This is a strong opportunity for a diesel technician seeking to move beyond day-to-day repair into product development, testing, OEM support, and technical problem solving. On-site in Springfield, MO with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Five years practical engine and/or engine component product development experience.
• Excellent technical and professional communication skills; must be capable of effective communication on all levels.
• Experienced in project management. Proven record of leading a team and/or project from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop components per APQP methodology.
• Create work instructions, BOMs, control plans, PFMEA for NPD.
• Create and execute the DVP&R.
• Reverse engineer products to develop specs and targets.
• Support current products via customer and shop floor interactions.
• Manage PPAP with all departments.
• Maintain quality and safety goals of the organization.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance of designs from proposals and specs.
• Assist sales with technical and marketing information for quotes.

Position Summary

Springfield ReManufacturing Corp is looking for an experienced diesel professional to apply hands‑on engine knowledge to product development.

The Diesel Product Specialist will support the development and launch of remanufactured engines, reverse engineer engine products, develop product documentation and processes, and provide technical support to customers and the shop floor.

This is a strong opportunity for a diesel technician or diesel technology professional who wants to move beyond day‑to‑day repair and use their engine expertise in product development, testing, OEM support, and technical problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop component product accordance with Advanced Product Quality Planning methodology.
• Create Work instructions, BOMs, Control Plans, PFMEA, and processes for new product introduction
• Create and execute the DVP&R
• Reverse engineer products to develop specifications and targets.
• Support and service current products through customer and shop floor interaction
• Manage PPAP by working with all appropriate departments
• Maintain quality and safety goals of the organization
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Research and analyze customer proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
• Assist sales department with technical information, marketing information and in the formulation of final quotes to the customer

Key Qualifications

• Five years practical engine and / or engine component product development experience
• BS in Diesel or Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with/for OEMs
• Excellent technical and professional communication skills; must be capable of effective communication on all levels
• Experienced in project management. Proven record of leading a team and/or project from inception to completion
• Excellent Microsoft office skills
• Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
