Job summary

BURNCO Texas LLC in Irving, Texas is hiring Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with the Plant Coordinator and Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of diesel mechanics and truck maintenance.
• Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices.
• Familiar with lock out/tag out procedures and DOT regulations.
• Computer proficiency; experience with Allison transmissions and ESA software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems following specifications, blue prints and manuals.
• Perform daily visual inspections of machinery and equipment while diagnosing sounds to determine malfunctions.
• Communicate timely with Plant Coordinator and Production Supervisor about major mechanical problems.
• Record service performance through data entry and maintain parts inventory.
• Operate mobile equipment when required; perform daily preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections.
• May make service calls to other BURNCO plants as needed.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures.
• Assist in the training and orientation of co-workers as needed.
