GFL is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to safely operate, repair, and maintain our heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment in Bolivia, NC. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs on refuse trucks to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.

The role requires at least 1 year of diesel technician experience, ownership of basic tools, and a valid CDL preferred. Competitive pay is $25-$33 per hour with OT after 40 hours and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualificações

• 1 year minimum experience as a diesel technician.
• Own a personal set of basic mechanic tools.
• Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic/air brake systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues using diagnostic software and tools.
• Repair and maintain specialized waste equipment (compressors, hydraulic cylinders, automated arms, and lift systems).
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company standards.
• Maintain clean and accurate work orders and fleet maintenance records.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to all OSHA and DOT safety protocols.
