• Diesel Tech Trainee Positions pay weekly

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Zero to one year of mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred
• Must be 18 or older
• Proficient in English communication
• Strong customer service skills
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn equipment maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently or in teams
• Good time management and attendance
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Beginner knowledge of machinery, tools, and shop systems preferred
• Valid CDL Class A preferred
• This is a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated position; work hours and age requirements vary by state

Additional Requirements for Regulated Tech

• Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Additional location-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy-duty vehicles, wash, fuel, and record activity following safety policies
• Perform multi-point inspections, check and report vehicle issues
• Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
• Complete Technician Training Development Program, including hands-on and online training in various areas
• Perform other duties as assigned
