Compensation & Benefits

• Weekly pay for Diesel Tech Trainee Positions
• Hourly Pay: $22.36/hr
• Certification Bonus: $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 four times a year
• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Up to 1 year mechanical experience, especially with diesel engines, preferred
• Must be 18 or older
• Proficient in English, with good customer service skills
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn equipment maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot, work independently and in teams, and represent Ryder professionally
• Good time management and attendance
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of shop management systems and tools is a plus
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check

Responsibilities

• Move and wash heavy-duty vehicles, fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles, record activities, and maintain inventories
• Perform multi-point inspections, check tire pressure, fluids, lights, and report issues
• Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
• Complete technician training programs, including safety, preventive maintenance, electrical, brakes, and more
• Perform other duties as assigned
