Koy Concrete, L.T.D. in Texas is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our fleet maintenance team.

You will perform engine and emission maintenance on trucks and equipment, with emphasis on heavy-duty systems, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and welding. Overtime may be required; own basic tools; DOT safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Suspension, steering, and wheel-end components training.
• Own basic tools.

Responsabilités

• Remove components for repair or replacement such as injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, brakes.
• Perform preventive and repair maintenance on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Repair engine chassis, vehicle body control systems, and HVAC.
• Safely operate welding tools to repair heavy equipment.
• Ensure DOT compliance and fleet safety standards.

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKoy Concrete, L.T.D. is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics/Technicians to join our fleet maintenance team.The Diesel Mechanicperforms all engine and emission maintenance and repairs on all trucks and equipment where necessary and can perform all drive train component work, as well as suspension and steering systems repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks. Experience with concrete mixer trucks is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Removes components for repair or replacement such as, but not limited to, injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, brakes, etc.
• Knowledge of a vehicle's engine, emission systems, transmission, hydraulic and electrical systems to perform preventive and repair maintenance functions.
• Engine chassis repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to maintain and repair the vehicles in a timely and safe manner.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to effectively diagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling systems in a timely and safe manner.
• Safely operating welding tools to repair heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and safely as possible.
• Identify the source of the malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.
• Ensure the fleet meets DOT regulations and safety standards, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Available to work overtime as needed.
• At least 2 years of prior experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Knowledge in air brakes and tires, hydraulics, and electrical.
• Suspension, steering, and wheel-end components training.
• Own basic tools.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to inclement weather.
• Works in, on top of, and under equipment in tiring and uncomfortable positions frequently bending, stretching, crouching, and squatting for up to 10 + hours a Shift.
• Exerting 35 to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 35 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Employees are subject to drafts, noise, dust, heat, fumes, dirt, and grease.
