Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing in Missouri is seeking a Service Technician to provide on-site vehicle service, perform maintenance, repairs, and installations per manuals, and document work performed.

You will read job orders, inspect engines and components, ensure safety, participate in trainings, and build strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Valid driver's license with insurability guidelines.
• CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to plan work.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices; adjust as needed.
• Tag warranty parts and return to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and review factory bulletins.
• Develop positive relationships with customers to boost satisfaction.

A Service Technician is responsible for providing service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. This can include: cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments. Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments as needed.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by the FMVS preferred but not required.
