Diesel Mechanic / Technician A - Mack Commercial and Industrial Trucks - Second Shift

Join to apply for the Diesel Mechanic / Technician A - Mack Commercial and Industrial Trucks - Second Shift role at Republic Services.

Position Summary

Under supervision from a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician A performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies (control, hydraulic, electrical systems), air brake systems, engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Work on state-of-the-art equipment supporting our drivers and servicing advanced vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair complex machinery and vehicle systems.
  • Perform repairs on chassis, refuse bodies, engines, suspensions, HVAC, and more.
  • Use electronic tools to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Complete company training programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of heavy-duty truck technician experience.
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs independently on various truck systems.
  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
  • LNG/CNG experience and Class B or higher CDL are pluses but not mandatory.
Minimum Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License.
