Ryder in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a permanent full-time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. Hourly pay is $42.50 with a $2,500 sign-on at 30 days and another $2,500 at 90 days, plus quarterly bonuses up to $500 and a $100 certification bonus per ASE cert up to $700.
Typical hours are 10:00 am to 7:30 pm, Monday–Friday, weekends off. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and training. EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Veteran.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
Basic tools, required
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire work
Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
Advanced skilled level repairs to include some major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs, required
Four (4) years or more Relevant work experience, preferred
Must be able to read codes and instructions on the computer
Must have computer experience in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet and other related
Must have minimum tool requirement
Maintenance computerized programs in order to create reports or communicate with customers, vendors and company representatives
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months in their current position and possess a record of good performance, attendance, safety and teamwork
