• Hourly Pay: $32.58 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus: $1500 paid in 30 days and $1500 paid after 90 days
• $300 Tool Box Incentive Yearly
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, Weekends OFF
• Hours: Second Shift 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs (AC and electrical systems)
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• All other certifications as required by location

• Additional Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy and medium-duty equipment
• Knowledge of and ability to apply computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.

• This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become a Ryder employee, you must:
• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including standard, preventive, and complex diagnostics and repairs, with minimal supervision
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
• Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Comply with all safety, DOT, and corporate guidelines
• Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Access and use internal and external maintenance documents
• Support operations as needed, including service island duties
• Complete OEM diagnostic courses and SBTIII training within specified timelines
