Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Mechanic with Trailer Experience. The Mechanic will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light to heavy-duty fleet vehicles and trailers.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

Pay Range: $30.00 - $45.00 / Hour (Depending on experience)

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Shop Location, Room for Advancement, Awesome Fleet Manager, Overtime Available

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle records manually and digitally
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
• Inspect and work on vehicle underparts
• Access all vehicle areas for maintenance
• Conduct safety inspections and document them

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

• At least 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic with Trailer Experience or a diploma in auto or diesel technology
• Experience with Class 8 tractor trailers, DOT inspections, and repairs
• Experience with PMs, tires, electrical systems
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Own tools required
• Valid driver's license

Working Conditions

• Exposure to traffic, dust, diesel fumes, noise
• Handling chemicals, oils, greases
• Ability to move heavy objects, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl
• Work outside in various weather conditions
