Job Role: Diesel Mechanic/Technician

Responsible for performing mechanical repairs efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Performing PMs and oil changes
• Greasing trucks and trailers
• Performing tire services
• Conducting CSA/DOT inspections
• Responding to service calls and night call outs
• Intermediate to advanced electrical repairs and diagnostics
• Wheel end repairs, including S-cam/bushing replacements
• Air system repairs and diagnostics
• Basic HVAC repairs
• Coolant system repairs
• Basic welding
• Starting and charging system diagnostics and repairs
• Engine repairs like belt and pulley replacements
• Steering and suspension repairs
• Maintaining shop cleanliness and safety standards
• Properly documenting work performed
• Providing excellent customer service

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Certification in Tire Service (TIA within 18 months)
• Air Brake Certification
• DOT Medical Card
• Minimum two years as a diesel technician

Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to attend various training, and the willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Reliable transportation and communication skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, and climbing regularly.
