Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group in the upper Midwest seeks Service Technicians of all levels to diagnose and repair diesel engines using advanced diagnostic equipment. You’ll perform system repairs, rebuilds, and driveline work, following OEM procedures to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify root causes of failures.
• Determine services required to repair and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and overhauls on diesel engines.
• Repair driveline and chassis components (clutches, hubs, diffs, wheels, suspension, brakes, transmissions).
• Apply OEM procedures and identify parts and tools.

Service Technician Essential & Primary Job Duties

• Work with state-of-the-art, industry leading diagnostic equipment to determine the root cause of system failures.
• Determine services required to repair and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds/overhauls on a variety of diesel engines.
• Perform diagnostic and repairs on driveline and chassis components including clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension and brakes, transmissions, and other necessary repairs.
• Apply OEM documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying required parts and tools.

Service Technician Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable and reliable attendance required
• Basic computer skills and knowledge
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending and twisting
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
