Summary: Earn a $5000.00 sign-on retention bonus! Join Waste Pro's team to work on a variety of trucks, including Mack, Freightliner, Peterbilt, McNeilus, and Heil, with opportunities to work on diesel and alternative fuel fleets such as CNG, LPG, and Hybrid. Position Overview: Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, and body components on heavy and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.

Essential Duties:

  1. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  2. Communicate with management and drivers about vehicle issues and preventive maintenance techniques.
  3. Complete all repair documentation accurately and timely.
  4. Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
  5. Use electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
  6. Conduct safety inspections and use factory service manuals for repairs.
  7. Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, hydraulic system inspections and repairs.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
  • Ability to estimate repair times and assist other technicians.
  • CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in training courses and stay updated on current technology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
